An hour hand is short and broad, a minute hand reaches the track exactly, a seconds hand is a hair thin with a tail behind the pinion. Get those three ratios wrong and a dial reads as clip art no matter how good the colours are.

Every dial was tuned at actual small-widget pixel size, then scaled up — not designed at 1000 px and shrunk until the indices turned to mush.

Widgets on the Home Screen do not animate continuously. iOS wakes them on a budget, which is why most analog widgets on the App Store either freeze or show a hand that jumps in five-minute steps and looks broken.
