Analog on a screen has one hard problem
Widgets on the Home Screen do not animate continuously. iOS wakes them on a budget, which is why most analog widgets on the App Store either freeze or show a hand that jumps in five-minute steps and looks broken.
WidgetClock handles this two ways. Home Screen dials are drawn on a timeline so the hour and minute hands are always correct at a glance. For a genuinely sweeping seconds hand, the same dial runs in the app’s fullscreen mode and in StandBy, where iOS allows a live view.
The result: a dial you can trust for the time, and a dial you can stare at, depending on where you put it.
